The greatest spiritual task

“The greatest spiritual task is not to change the one who hurt us. It is to protect our own heart, so that the hurt is not passed on.”

But perhaps there is also a deeper lesson hidden within all of this, a difficult lesson I have worked on for years in my personal life, gained insights, released, taking other rounds finding peace, more pain, struggle, more inner work to do….maybe you recognize parts of it, this is not only about parenthood, it is about keeping our hearts open…

Not because the pain was necessary.
Not because the betrayal was meant to happen.
But because we always have a choice in how we allow our experiences to shape who we become.

I have often asked myself: Why?

Why does a person choose not to show up for their own children?
Why can it be so difficult to reach out?
Why does it feel as though the responsibility always falls on the same person?

Over time, I have come to accept that I may never receive an answer that brings peace.

And perhaps peace is not found there anyway.

Perhaps peace is found in acceptance.

In the quiet realization that we cannot live another person’s life. We cannot feel for them. We cannot choose for them. We cannot awaken a love or a sense of responsibility that they are not willing to take upon themselves.

From a spiritual perspective, I believe that life repeatedly invites us to release our need to control what we cannot change, and instead turn our attention toward what we do have the power to influence.

Not as a surrender.

But as a homecoming.

Because every time I try to carry a burden that belongs to someone else, I also give away a piece of my own freedom.

Perhaps the greatest task was never to make another person become a better parent.

Perhaps the greatest task was to continue being the parent my children could always lean on.

To be the safe harbour when they question their own worth.

To be the voice that reminds them that they did not become less valuable because someone else failed to recognize their value.

To show them that love is not only something we say — it is something we live.

It is not the role I would have chosen.

But it is the role life gave me.

And perhaps this is exactly where my own soul is being invited to grow.

Not by closing my heart.

Not by becoming bitter.

But by slowly releasing the struggle against what is, and instead directing my energy toward what creates life.

For my children.

And for myself.

Perhaps the greatest spiritual lesson is not to understand the one who failed us.

Perhaps it is to understand that we must not allow their limitations to define our capacity to love.

That we can choose to break patterns rather than repeat them.

That we can be the adult who shows our children that love is presence, responsibility, compassion, and action.

And that the legacy we pass on does not have to be the one we received — but the one we consciously choose to create.

Perhaps that is the deepest freedom.

To discover that even though we could not change another person’s heart, we could keep our own heart open.

And teach our children that their worth has never depended on how much space they occupied in another person’s life.

Their worth has been unconditional all along.

The path to connection is through vulnerability and your energy is your gift, and you choose who have access to it…

seeing the unseen

language, being flexible, feeling inspired, change, explore, open your eyes, mind blowing, brutally honest, doing something within, changing life, make you think, other points of views, someones heart has purged the art, a gift, someone share themself and we sense them, its coming from the heart… Saturday we had a little afternoon in Sweden because…

Energy is everything

– give yourself some time each day to connect with yourself, sit in silence, spend some time outside in nature, pet your animal, talk with your spirit guide, hug your loved people or other things that nurture your soul…
