Authenticity

May your day be filled with it…

An energy walk

yesterday afternoon me and my youngest daughter went to The National Gallery of Denmark – SMK – to spent a lovely late afternoon/early evening and explore art together. I really love to experience modern art (I appreciate the older art indeed, and have been drawing a lot at all kinds of museums in Denmark and…

Coming home to yourself

You know when you have this feeling

What drives your energy? is it fear or is it a zest for life, joy and spontaneity? In our world of rules and hardship, there must be something that keeps our hearts beating. Wishes, dreams and determination – your heart should beat, beat for something that brings you joy, so your soul can sing. See…

Keep walking

What’s the worst thing that can happen? A lot can happen, also the worst things, we make mistakes, and it seems there is no reason for why the things happened, but there will be good days, you will share hugs and kisses, we can try to prepare ourself for life situations, but for the most…

take it easy

Rest is part of the selflove work In the start were perhaps not very good at it…its like a muscle we need to exercise step by step I still have periods where I realize I have forgotten to rest enough, being out of balance, where so many things outside myself have taken over my time…

relax and release

Sometimes when we experience feelings as fear or anxiety, our mind can push it out in the back so we forget about it, but the feeling is stored in the body. When we enter an environment, where the senses remind of that experience it activates our nervous system and our body react on it. That’s why our body are so important in our healing, it helps us so point out where we can help ourself.

You can release it by feeling in to the tension in your body, as your body to guide you to the area. Take a deep breath, in through your nose, out through your mouth, close your eyes, go back to the last experience where your body was activated, keep breathing, allow your body to remember what it has stored in your past you were not able to deal with, perhaps fractions of memories will arise, perhaps you think you make up those memories, just breathe and continue to connect with your body, to your younger self, a specific time period, just close your eyes, you are safe to feel It now, breathe deeply.

what happens in your body now? do you sense something in your skin, remember you are there for yourself, breathe and continue, the feelings from the experience will start to show up, allow yourself to feel the feelings, perhaps you are afraid, feeling alone, ashamed, guilty, what are your feelings, remember you have your adult you to protect you, to help you, while you are feeling those feelings from the past, find a time in life, a situation where you felt empowered and strong and loved, when you feel it make it in to a symbol, a color, a gift and offer it to yourself from the past, perhaps you feel this specific gift is a quality you always have missed, like peace, clarity or safety

meet your younger self, perhaps you feel sorrow you have forgotten about yourself from that period, or that situation and left that younger self alone for all that time….be there for yourself, you are there with you, sometimes it takes a lot of courage to believe we are helped, especially from ourself when we have been left out in the darkness for so many years, abandoned, forgotten, afraid, that younger innocent part of you which has missed being part of your soul, be there for that part of yourself

help yourself in to the light, in to this moment, your current life, help yourself out of those forgotten places, when you invite those parts in to your life again, you become alive, you are able to change those patterns, because you’re not abandoning yourself anymore, you left yourself at a certain time, and one day we we find that missing piece of our soul and invite it in to our life again and start to feel more whole, more true

when we do that, we are able to leave those unhealthy patterns, people, situations in life, and meet our own needs, most important we start to love ourselves more deeply and more parts of ourself, we understand that we have achieved so much good in life, that we couldn’t imagine when we were younger, we are connecting our dots by meeting ourself in the forgotten places. As children ew cannot protect ourself, we need adults who do it, and when we dont have those adults in our life we put so much responsibility on those small shoulders, and ask a child to navigate the landscape alone.

The adults in our life can be so caught up in their own things, that they miss out their children and how they are doing, and what they are going through, my parents weren’t able to protect or help me, Im sure we are many who have had similar experiences. You can protect, help and be there for you and your younger self and start taking responsibility for your healing, and reconnection.

We heal and learn to love by making the unseen seen, until then we let the forgotten parts run our life. Think and feel with your heart.

the soul in the space

at home with smudge

Next week Im visiting a very very old and very large building from the 1700s, where I am asked to offer a house clearing and sense what is going on. I cannot write about where, what and who, but I really look forward to help. When they asked me if I was able to help them, I felt someone coming through very strongly and sensed an off energy, stagnated energy- like the place really needed a energy clearing, but also a big decluttering. (which I also do In my professional work life).

Because it is a very large building, I will have to trust Im guided to the specific areas where its blocked, and then use my intention for the whole building to clear out the smaller things. Perhaps I receive some information about why there is activity in the building…

In general I believe it is a good idea before moving in to a new building/home, to clear the space, before you fill it up with your own energy. The same when we go through some difficult life circumstances like divorces, illnesses, organizational changes, changes in the collective energy around a country or groups, all those experiences can leave imprints in the space we live and work in. It could also be imprints from different activities in the building over the years, traumas, events, thought patterns.

You can enter a room and have a lovely, calm, tranquil feeling, but you can also enter a room and sense it feels off, creepy, unbalanced. There are imprints everywhere and in every single thing, some more active than others.

I always make preparations for a ceremony like that, It is sacred work, and I call in help from spirit to help me and to clear the space, we need to be protected. Usually I use palo Santo or sage to smudge the place, sometimes I bring my medicine bag, shamanic rattles, or crystals, but most of the work is done through my senses, my intuition and by entering the energy levels. I will ask how to resolve those imprints or imbalance, because no spaces are the same, so it will need its own way of help, clearing , prayers or healing. Lets see what happens.

By the way I am having vacation from my ordinary job from Saturday and 3 weeks ahead (will still offer readings/sessions).

Doing what is best for you and realizing you dont have to tolerate anything with anybody teach you how to keep inner peace. Own your power

Letting go of victim mentality takes a lot of effort and work, to feel like a victim can be like having a friend you cling to, because that was the one you had through the rough periods in life and it helped you. But to see and release the victimhood and all of its stories, you will need to ask yourself to open your eyes and have a clear look at yourself. Therapy can help you in many ways, and you may understand the dynamics with your conscious mind, but to actually take the necessary steps out of victimhood demands another level of commitment. The work of unchaining yourself from all the cycles, strategies, dynamics, relationships demands honesty.

Part of this process is to acknowledge what is our own wishful thinking, passivity so we can take genuine steps out of the victim role. If you think you are done with the role and still have something left, life will test you/show you where you believe you have done the work.

In victimhood we interpret a specific experience and a story and a pattern takes form, it keeps going when we relive those specific interpretations, over and over. The work of changing yourself from victimhood to empowerment you will need to work on your own ability to interpret more neutral. Look at your pattern and story in a more neutral way, where you are releasing feelings and creating inner space, that helps you to change your victimpatterns and stories.

Either we continue our wounds and traumas or we heal. Everything is about our capacity of letting go and to re-open our hearts. Victimhood is self betrayal – because we have choices and the power to change ourselves and the direction of our life. Victimhood cannot help you to live the life you want no matter how many times you pity, blame, feel broken, feeling out of control, your inner loops, avoiding responsibility for yourself and your life situation.

Be interested in living your life again, believe you can change all the large fluctuations, flying high, falling deep, look for being in a safe harbour. Be more clear about your wishes and needs, and meet your needs, notice the role you play in this, explore all the false beliefs and thoughts. Know where you are staying in your life, in your roles and patterns, in your heart.

Dont accept chaos and helplessness, you learned the helpless state at a certain time where that was nothing else to do, now is different, Shed light on your own darkness and unconscious areas, look for peace and remember there is so much help from the divine.

Sleep is ignorance, awaken state is light

I have always had a lot of dream activity – in periods very clear and helpful messages I have used to guide myself through life. In this period where Im still in the Tibetan Dream and Sleep Yoga course, I had a dream some nights ago which I thought was interesting to write about. I look forward to my vacation in a week, where I will have enough sleep and probably also better dreams, because I then get more REM sleep. Im overall more curious about my own ignorance and “sleep” during night and day, than my actual dreams, but this dream had some important messages.

Dream

Someone aggressively blocked my throat with his hand and with his whole body pushed my body, we stood face to face, I didn’t feel afraid, I remember I said in my mind you cannot touch me and I have power(I felt my greenlandic power) I just stood there and kept my position and looked him in to his eyes letting him know I would continue my project (he was angry about a project I had started). Then a woman let me through all kinds of doors, some locked, some tiny, some very different, and in the end I entered a room (I thought I was going to a meeting) and I was greeted with beautiful energy and light, so friendly and loving….And greeted with hugs, smiles and joy and I was so surprised.

I will try to reflect from my course perspective..

My dream appeared to unfold a journey of spiritual strength, awareness, and passage into a deeper level of consciousness.

The first part of the dream presented a confrontation. A man aggressively blocks my throat and attempts to stop me from continuing a project. Rather than reacting with fear, I remained steady, grounded, and aware of my own power. Symbolically, the throat relates to communication, self-expression, truth, and the manifestation of one’s purpose. In Tibetan Dream Yoga, the throat chakra (Vishuddha) is considered the primary dream center. It governs the subtle internal winds and mental consciousness that create dreams, and meditation on this energy center can support lucid dreaming and greater awareness within the dream state. The attempt to block the throat may symbolize some sort of resistance to my authentic expression or to a deeper awakening of consciousness. But it could also represent that I in my daily life doesn’t offer myself enough of what I need, rest, sleep. I also feel that a part of me still doubt myself in some of the awakening proces , like Im not fully surrendering, I definitely feel it has to do with the final trust.

The second part of the dream introduces a female guide who leads me through a series of doors—some locked, some small, and some unusual. These doors can be understood as thresholds between different levels of awareness, growth, or spiritual understanding. Rather than forcing my way through, I am guided forward with trust. Throughout my life the divine has helped me so much, this is another pointer of the right path.

The dream culminates in a radiant room filled with light, love, warmth, and joy. I am welcomed with smiles, hugs, and a profound sense of belonging. In the context of Tibetan Dream Yoga, this can symbolize contact with the mind’s innate luminosity—its natural state of wisdom, compassion, and clarity. The sequence of the dream suggests a path of challenge, steadfastness, guidance, and ultimately recognition of a deeper spiritual support.

The dream may be that when I remain true to my purpose and do not allow fear or opposition to silence me, new doors open and lead me toward greater connection, guidance, and inner light.

“Whatever appears in dreams—pleasant or frightening—may I recognize my true nature, remain steady, and pass through every door with awareness and trust.”

Be open and curious

I have always loved to read, all kinds of literature – but for the last ten years it has mostly been non-fictional books, and I have felt I kind of had to relearn reading fictional books. I went to the library some days ago with my eldest daughter to pick up a non fictional book,…

Close your eyes Inhale, exhale Just be Feel your body, feel your heart Be yourself, no reaction to anything – not even your body and mind Just witness and become silent and quiet

Apply wisdom

Much of the world is build around and alongside the intellect and the rational, but how do we know what we know? Is knowledge solely something derived from measurement and the presentation of evidence, or can it also come from experience, intuition, dreams, relationships, and the direct experience of life? Many before me have probably thought about this.

Based upon my own life, my intuition, creativity, nature, spirituality I have a holistic understanding of the human being, in which soul, intuition, nature, community and personal experience play a very important role.

I do understand powerpositions can be used for the good, but I believe that many people with traditional power gets intimidated by a person with a strong spiritual energy, a person with a deep inner connection, someone who is living outside narratives, boxes, rules, power systems and hierarchies, those trusting their inner wisdom, sacredness, and who have dared to look their own darkness in the eyes.

You can see through the power and understand how much of the power is compensation for love, for being seen, being understood and being part of a group –

Get to know yourself, stay in solitude and be the medicine for others, surrender and arrive with your energy and follow your own path and knowledge….

the fire is a powerful tool for prayers and connection with everyone

Mirror

Spiritual awakening doesn’t have to be grande and loud, extrovert and full of energy and bling bling, it doesn’t have to be together with a spiritual group or teacher, you dont even have to understand everything and see the big picture or find answers, sometimes it is so quiet and in your own company, feeling…

Choosing yourself

I think we all know that if you want to help others you need to help yourself first. How do we help ourself?

As children many of us feel loneliness, because our own parents had traumas, unhealed experiences either inherited or gained through their childhood, I think it is so common…

I come from a background with parents which didn’t heal those parts of themselves – I feel very much compassion for them and their background but their unhealed parts also created so many feelings of loneliness, hurt, being unsafe, feeling afraid, so much hurt. The road of helping yourself can be rocky, unclear with a lot of detours, but I have realized that the more I love myself, listen to my own needs and slow down, things become so much easier, and I am able to understand my own needs and to heal.

Despite those difficult circumstances and feelings they are also fuel for our growth, for working out a new path, reaching new levels of a better life, than what you were given, perhaps you have been your own parent, learning and offering yourself all the things you weren’t given.

You may have fought for safety and knowing where you have other people, it takes time to learn we dont have to guess around other people, there is no need of having all the responsibility on our shoulders, and perhaps you have discovered that being you, being appreciated, being able to relax makes life so much easier and better. Aim after Peace, Trust and Love.

Your nervous system is letting you know when you are feeling safe and also helps you with all the things you need. If you are unclear about a relationship ask yourself questions like :

How does my body feel after the meeting? Do I feel bigger or smaller? Calmer or more unsettled? More like myself or more accommodating? Is the other person curious about my life today? Does the person take responsibility for their part of the story? Is there real change, or just familiar chemistry?

Perhaps you need to change asking the question : who wants you, and instead ask who can I build a safe life with. Believe that your needs are important and that you dont want to settle for less.

You are very much worthy of love as you are right now. For many people who have lived with emotional unpredictability – whether during childhood or in relationships later in life – there comes a time when they realize that what they long for is not more emotions, it is more peace. Not because love has become less important, but because they have learned that love without trust and a sense of security is exhausting.

It is not about passion, drama, chemistry, adventure or intensity…it is about that your experience counts. You dont need to argue your case, you dont need to get others to agree. If you feel unsafe, lonely, or constantly responsible in a relationship, that is information you must take serious. That is not the same as closing your heart.

Allow your heart to be accompanied by good judgement. And the two together are often what create relationships where you are not just loved – but also feel safe. Old painful memories are stored not only in our memories but also in our bodies, so we have to work on them at both levels. When we feel something unpleasant in our body the mind is finding familiar feelings, they are not from the now but from our past, we can realize it and do something about it, so our feelings can change and we dont have to go through the same pattern over and over again, it helps us in our decisions ahead.

Choosing yourself many spiritual traditions speak of how we repeat lessons until we learn them. Not as a punishment. But because life keeps showing us the same theme from different angles. My own theme has been to give up on myself in order to maintain a connection with others. It is my whole childhood theme. Despite some of us have shouldered a great deal of responsibility throughout our lifes, and have been good at understanding, forgiving, waiting, holding space, and hoping, I think its very important to understand that we can love another person without abandoning ourself. Trust your own inner knowing, all of it is selflove. You can give yourself everything you need, be there for yourself.

Just noticing

As some of you may know Im a professional interior designer and work with space in my dailylife. For me space is both the outer physical – but also something we experience, a felt and sensed experience, our intuition tapping in to the environment. We sense imprints from the past and what is going on…

The silence in the tent

fulfillment

A very lovely path to yourself is through a passion or leisure activity. What do you love to do? Where your life truly begins

Languages in common

@photo Anne Birgitte Lund

If people don’t understand our personal language, I would not compromise and try to fit in, nor would I as the one not understanding others focus on what I dont understand, instead I would look for languages we have in common.

You may think it could be where we are born, languages, religions, our race and culture, the land we walk, all of them important for us in our dailylife, but we have so much more in common, and each of us are unique –

There are many languages in the world and many of us can’t speak most of them, but we have several languages in common which we dont speak but sense, like the :

Heart and intuition

Body and all the cells

Nature, seasons and weather

Spirit and our soulfamilies

….we are all connected through energy and love…
